I flew to Turkey to get a Hollywood smile – it cost £5K & people say my real teeth looked better but I love the results | The Sun

A BEAUTY fan who flew to Turkey for a new smile has been brutally slammed online, as people warn her of lifetime of pain and expensive maintenance.

Turkey – the hotspot for those looking to soak up some sun and spruce up their teeth without spending a fortune.

The relatively low prices have seen a massive increase in Britons travelling to the sunny destination, and amongst those was also TikTok user – and avid car enthusiast – Charlotte York.

As most people, Charlotte too documented the journey on TikTok all the way from showing her pre-treatment gnashers and the final result.

After saying goodbye to her old smile one last time, the stunner headed to the dental clinic, which has branches in both Antalya and Fethiye.

There, the young woman had a look at the various picks between crowns and veneers, as well as checking out the different shades with the experts.

''I went for BL1, which is the whitest, because if you're gonna do it, you may as well do it,'' Charlotte explained in her video.

With the perfect shade and style in mind – the woman opted for the Hollywood smile – it was now time for impressions.

''I was dreading these because I am so bad at them back in the UK – but they honestly weren't as bad, I don't know why.

''Then we went in with a bit of lemon spray into my gums to make the 20 injections a little bit less horrific.''

The old teeth were now all prepped and ready to be shaved off to then be transformed with veneers and crowns.

Although Charlotte did claim that the process was more or less pain-free as she couldn't feel anything from her ''eyeballs down'', the numbness caused her to dribble a lot.

After even more impressions and some moulding, the young beauty fanatic was given a set of temporary gnashers, which had a plastic feel to them.

''These were whiter than my original teeth but still the same shape,'' she said.

The next day, Charlotte paid a visit to their design hub to see her new smile displayed on the screen and posted the results on Instagram.

But despite appearing to be in love with the pearly whites and praising the artist behind them, Charlotte's makeover was brutally savaged online.

Amongst the whopping 4.6million viewers were many who reckoned that she will grow to regret the decision.

One professional said: ''Been in dentistry for 39 years and I am so sorry you did this- it’s criminal they have done this !

''We were doing this in the 80’s no no no.''

Another agreed, writing: ''Years of pain and expense ahead!''

Meanwhile, someone else thought she didn't need to fork out the £5.6k for the procedure in the first place, saying: ''Really ur actual teeth look great [sic].''
