On May 8, Bachelor Nation stars Brandon Jones and Serene Russell — who got engaged on season 8 of “Bachelor in Paradise” in 2022 — took to Instagram to share a joint statement announcing that they’re going their separate ways. “After many months, today we have ultimately decided to end our engagement. We have tried to work privately on our relationship which has been incredibly challenging in the public eye. This has been immensely hard to accept and painful, as there is a lot of love between the two of us. We are deeply hurting and can only ask that there be no hate. The best path for us at this time is to try and move forward and heal from this as individuals,” they captioned a slideshow of photos and videos of themselves together during happier times.

On May 8, TMZ broke the news that Kim Zolciak recently filed to divorce her husband of more than a decade, Kroy Biermann. She reportedly noted in divorce docs that the marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation” and listed their date of separation as April 30, 2023. She’s asking for primary physical custody and joint legal custody and their four minor children, plus spousal support. (Back in 2013, Kroy adopted Kim’s two daughters from previous relationships, Brielle Biermann and Ariana Biermann, who are both adults now.) The former professional football player and the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum have been plagued by financial issues in recent years.

On May 6, “Happy Days” alum Anson Williams married real estate broker Sharon MaHarry at a private residence in Ojai, California. It’s his third marriage. He split from his second wife, Jackie Gerken, in 2019 following more than three decades of marriage.

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens said “I do” for the second time on May 6 after previously tying the knot in late April in an intimate ceremony at a courthouse in Houston, Texas: The Olympic gymnast and the professional football player exchanged vows in front of 144 friends and family members in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They got engaged in early 2022 following a courtship of less than two years.
