Britney Spears IUD Story Will Bring You to Tears, 'I Need Your Help' She Begged the Judge

Pop icon Britney Spears begged Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny to remove her conservatorship so the 39-year-old could have her IUD removed. She pleaded with the judge on June 23, 2021, that she wants to “be able to get married and have a baby.” After 13 years stuck in a conservatorship she never wanted, the singer-songwriter spoke out against her dad and the conservatorship team in court. The story might be more tragic than the #freebritney movement believed was possible.

Britney Spears conservatorship team won’t let her remove her IUD

Spears and her boyfriend of over four years, Sam Asghari, want to get married and have children together. However, she can’t even drive in his car with him. Before the Toxic star addressed the judge, Samuel Ingham introduced his client for the special status hearing in the LA County courtroom. The attorney stated on the record that he did not attempt to “control, filter or edit” anything that the pop icon said.

“I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” Spears told Judge Penny via Independent. “I have an IUD inside of myself so that I don’t get pregnant, but [the conservatorship doesn’t] want me to have any more children.”

She begged the judge to let her end her conservatorship without having to wait for a medical evaluation. Spears added that the conservatorship team forces her to attend therapy at a facility in Westlake, California. She alleges that the team knew the paparazzi would be there to take photos of her. Then the star broke down and begged the judge for her help.

“I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive,” Spears pleaded. “I don’t feel like I can live a full life. In the meantime, I want this therapist to come to my home; I’m not willing to go to Westlake. They set me up by sending me to the most exposed places. I need your help.”

Britney Spears said she deserves ‘changes’ including the removal of her IUD

The Britney Spears IUD might be the worst part of the story, but the rest of it is incredibly heartbreaking as well. The pop icon’s testimony only gave a tiny peek into the restricted world she has lived in for the past 13 years. Spears believes that the situation is so dire that her father and everyone involved in controlling her should serve jail time.

“My dad and anyone involved in this conservatorship, including my management, should be in jail,” Spears told the judge. “The last time I spoke to you [Judge Penny] made me feel like I was dead. I am telling you again because I am not lying, so maybe you can understand the depth and the degree and the damages. I deserve changes.”

When asked why Spears didn’t tell the public her feelings, the star said she didn’t think anyone would believe her. The icon had such agonizing experiences with the paparazzi and the media that she was terrified of what might happen if she spoke up.

“I thought people would make fun of me,” the singer-songwriter added. “I just want my life back. It’s enough.”

Spears wants to share her story with the world and sue her family for everything that has happened over the last 13 years.

Spears compared her conservatorship to sex trafficking

As Spears continued to plead with the LA court, she compared her situation to sex trafficking. The singer-songwriter told the judge that the team forced her to take Lithium against her will.

“In California, the only similar thing to this is called sex trafficking,” the pop star added. “Making anyone work against their will, taking all their possessions away credit card, cash, phone, passport.”

Since 2008, Spears’ father controlled her every move. The unauthorized documentary, Framing Britney Spears, which premiered on Feb. 5, hardly touched on the trauma that Spears described in her testimony on June 23.

“My family didn’t do a God damn thing,” Spears said to the court. “Anything I had to do, [my dad] was the one who approved all of it. My whole family did nothing.”

The #FreeBritney movement supported her every step of the way; although no one knew Britney Spears was forced to keep an IUD and take Lithium against her will. Hopefully, the judge will rule to end the conservatorship. This article will be updated to reflect the results of the LA court hearing.
