Channing Tatum opens up on fitness journey as he shares shirtless selfie

Channing Tatum has decided to treat us all to a shirtless selfie as he opened up about his fitness journey.

And it’s fair to say, we’re pretty impressed with the results.

The actor took to Instagram to share a black and white mirror snap, showing off his toned abs in the process.  

He wrote: ‘It’s been a long road back. Injuries, life s***, and just insanity in general. Ha daddy is finally back boooi! Gonna be a fun next 10 year run.

‘To all those that have been there for me and held me down through it all. I love you. I’m gonna make you proud. Let’s goo.’

Taking note of a bottle of hand sanitizer below the mirror, he added: ‘Also peep the purell bottle. Keep it clean out there folks. Hahaha.’

As well as sanitizer, a face mask and protective face shield could also be seen in the picture, as Channing kept himself safe during the ongoing pandemic.

It seems fans were loving the new selfie, with one writing: ‘Damn you look amazing Chan & that light is back in your eyes. It’s a beautiful thing!’

Another commented: ‘Wow! You look AMAZING!!!! Glad to see you back on IG [Instagram] and soon on the big screen.’

In the meantime, Channing, 40, is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film Dog, which is currently being filmed.

Channing will both star in and co-direct the movie with longtime creative partner Reid Carolin.

Dog is set to focuses on an army ranger (Channing) who travels to a fellow soldier’s funeral alongside a pet dog.

The star had previously shared a behind-the-scenes snap from the film’s production to social media, telling fans that making the movie had been ‘a crazy ride’ for him so far.

‘And we’ve only just begun,’ he added. ‘And if we survive the rest, it will be one of the most insane stories that I’ve ever been a part of. And I’ve been a part of some pretty crazy ones in this life of mine.

‘This photo is from our first day of production on the first movie that my partner Reid and I are directing. This is our story.

‘It’s taken us two years to get it to the starting line. The next eight weeks will be like riding a bull on sickmode in ludicrous speed. God be with us. In Dog we trust.’
