Dermot O’Leary shares sadness and appeals for help as wedding ring and bag stolen during trip to the gym

Television presenter Dermot O’Leary has spoken out after having his wedding ring stolen from a gym in London.
The 47 year star, who recently welcomed a son named Kaspar with wife Dee Koppang, took to Twitter to share a police call for information, while telling of sadness that the ring has gone.
As he retweet the Metropolitan Police's post, which showed a picture of the man in question, he wrote: “Sadly this was wedding ring & bag that was stolen,” Dermot penned, adding: “I’m sure I won’t see them again, but I’d really like it if he didn’t have the opportunity to steal yours. Please have a good look at this picture & if you recognise him call 101 ref 6195/ 21 aug Dx.”
The X-Factor presenter, who was recently pictured out on a stroll with his newborn, wrote in a separate post: “I know there are more important things happening in the world right now, but last week by bag (with my wedding ring in it) was stolen from a locked locker at Psycle on Mortimer St, London.
“I’m not after any special preferential treatment.
“I’m not the victim of a violent crime, and even though no one should have to, I can handle all the impersonal items being stolen (the wallet, phone, watch, keys etc).”

He then said that the person who’d taken the items “stole something that would mean nothing to him but everything to me”.
Dermot shared a tweet by the Met Police's Westminster branch, which read: “Do you recognise this man?
"We wish to speak to him re theft of a bag from a gym in Mortimer Street W1 on 13 Aug."
The police then said that one of the items missing included a wedding ring inscribed with ’14/9/12 Team KO.’
The man in question in the police call is grey-haired and can be seen wearing an Adidas t-shirt.
Fans of Dermot have been quick to share their sadness after his belongings went missing.

One wrote: “Devastating to lose your wedding ring and crucifix. I do hope you get it back Dermot. Some people just don’t care about how their actions could affect other people. Sending love to you and @deekoppang.”
While another penned: “Oh my gosh that must be such heartache. I really hope it finds it's way back to you.” [sic]
A third commented: “Ahh that's really horrid. Sorry Dermot.” [sic]
