Diddy’s Son Reveals If He Likes Lizzo or Draya’s Twerking Better
This arrives after Diddy was accused of being fatphobic for seemingly cutting off the ‘Truth Hurts’ hitmaker when she twerked during his Team Love Dance-A-Thon on Easter Sunday.
AceShowbiz -Sean “P. Diddy” Combs recently faced backlash over controversy involving Lizzo and Draya Michele‘s twerking on his Instagram Live. Now, his son Christian Combs has inserted himself in the drama by offering opinion on who twerks better according to his standard.
The 22-year-old, apparently, was a big fan of Lizzo’s twerking. “Might have to give that to Lizzo, I ain’t gon’ lie, she was going a little too crazy,” he said during an Instagram Live on Wednesday, April 15. “You know the funny thing about it, my pop didn’t even see that she was twerking. He really just heard the music. He wasn’t even in the frame if you watch the video back.”
This arrives after Diddy was accused of being fatphobic for seemingly cutting off Lizzo when she twerked during his Team Love Dance-A-Thon on Easter Sunday, April 12.”Whoa, whoa, whoa, Let’s play something that’s a little bit family friendly,” he told the “Truth Hurts” hitmaker, prompting her to apologize. However, he didn’t seem to be bothered when Draya twerked to Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up” a few hours later on his livestreaming.
“When Lizzo was twerking it’s not ‘family-friendly’ but when a skinny girl does it, it’s all fun & games,” one person criticized on Twitter. Another user claimed, “P Diddy ain’t S**T. When Lizzo started twerking he brought that to an end with the quickness but had nothing to say to Draya when she was shaking bum.”
Diddy, however, later clarified the matter on his Instagram Stories, stating that his objection wasn’t about Lizzo’s twerking, but the curse-filled lyrics of the song that played in the background. “There’s one thing I want to make clear. My queen, my sister Lizzo when I stopped the music it’s because it had a lot of curses in there. Not because she was twerking,” he wrote on Monday.
“She’s one of the best twerkers in the world. Ok, lets keep that clear. It wasn’t about twerking, you’re allowed to twerk on Easter,” he continued. “It was about, it was a lot cursing in the record and I don’t need child services knocking on my door right now. You understand. That’s why we stopped the record.”
“Lizzo we love you,” the 50-year-old father of six gave a shout-out to the Grammy Award-winning artist, before hitting back at the critics, “Everybody stop looking for the negative.”
