Ellen DeGeneres has a giggle and a photoshoot with Portia de Rossi
It seems Ellen DeGeneres isn’t letting the continued backlash towards her get her down, as she was seen playing around with wife Portia de Rossi in California this week.
Leaving their sprawling mansion – which, apparently is ‘like prison’ during quarantine – for a hot minute, the pair donned their face masks and drove to pick up some take away nosh from Lucky’s in Santa Barbara over the weekend.
Clearly not able to sit still as the pair waited for their delicious meal, Ellen, 62, and Portia, 47, who married in 2008, had a giggle as the talk show host cut some poses for a spontaneous carpark photoshoot.
With Portia sitting in the passenger seat, she happily whipped out the camera to capture her wife puffing out her chest and flexing her face mask action.
Safety – but make it fashion.
Looking all kinds of loved up, at one stage Ellen leaned into their pair’s convertible Porche where Portia placed her hands on her paramour’s face.
Ellen’s beaming smile seemed worlds away from the continued criticism being lobbed at the cool, calm and collected presenter during the pandemic.
Following the comparison of her $27million (£21m) pile to jail – which understandably riled up the masses – only this week she’d angered fans after ‘rating’ the babies of her crew.
While all very tongue-in-cheek, Ellen posted videos of the cute little ones, rating them for their expressions, fat rolls, and how squeezable their cheeks are.
Viewers weren’t best pleased with the segment, with several on Twitter asking for her to stop while another added that the show had ‘derailed’ as a result of it.
The segment came at a bit of an awkward time, with allegations that Ellen is ‘cruel’ and ‘mean’ to their staff surfacing online – amid other claims staff are furious as they wait to find out about their own pay while the studio version of the show is off air.
Beauty blogger NikkieTutorials also alleged the presenter ‘didn’t even say hello’ when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in January.
Still, Ellen has been trucking on with a smile in her face, some take-away in her hand, and is yet to publicly address the palaver.
