Helen Skelton, 39, has explained she has “days” when she is “p****d off”, following her split from ex-husband Richie Myler. Her marriage ended nearly six months ago, and she recently discussed how she has managed the situation.
The star has moved to Cumbria from Leeds following the breakdown of her marriage, where her family home is.
Regarding the situation, she clarified she doesn’t see herself as the victim, and doesn’t view anything from a lens of self-pity.
“There’s loads of stuff to ask me about that’s really interesting, that’s not ‘Ohhh, poor you’.
“I don’t see myself as a victim, no, because I mean, look…

“There are a lot of people who have been in my situation who haven’t been given the opportunities that I’ve got.”
She conceded, however, that she isn’t perfect.
Helen added: “Don’t get me wrong, I have my days when I’m p****d off.”
Aside from the break-up of her marriage, the star also spoke to The Telegraph about the death of two of her cousins.
She furthered it was difficult to talk about emotional pain with her family as they were typically “stoic” and “stiff upper-lipped” in the Cumbrian fashion.
Helen admitted her family “wouldn’t like it” if she talked about it with them.
In this year’s Strictly season, Helen is partnered with Gorka Marquez.
Earlier this month, she was publicly assured by her pro dance partner that she was “beautiful” and needed to be more confident in herself.
Helen and Gorka performed to the Spanish tune of Tamacun by Rodrigo y Gabriela, which earned the pair a very respectable score on the leaderboard of 29 points.
However, Gorka believed that his Celebrity SAS star partner, whose marriage broke down earlier this year, needed a boost.
As the pair awaited their scores, he announced passionately: “Everyone believes in you.
I know you have been having a difficult time and… you may feel like you’re not beautiful or good enough or anything, but if you don’t believe in yourself, I believe in you.”
Show host Claudia Winkleman joined in with the praise, echoing: “We all believe in you!”
Gorka continued: “It doesn’t matter how many times I say it, or the judges say it, or anybody says it.
“It’s only you who is going to be the one who can make the change and the one who needs to believe in you, because you are an amazing woman, very inspirational.
“An amazing mum and incredible dancer, so believe in you please,” he declared.
