Holly Willoughby has been left fighting back tears as a mother described how her daughter has been self-harming as a result of the intense bullying she's received.
Speaking on ITV's This Morning, 39 year old Holly introduced Laura to viewers before summarising the situation.
The TV presenter, who recently wowed fans in a stunning dress, said: "We've got Laura on the line now. Hi Laura. So this is really worrying, isn't it? This is your 12 year old daughter and she's been being bullied for the last six months. How bad have things got?"

Mum Laura replied: "Very bad due to her self-harming. It's all down to falling out with friends, spreading horrible rumours, taking the Mickey out of her hair, because she's ginger.
"She's even got to the stage of dying her hair. She's not wanting to eat, she can't sleep. I've spoken to the GP but she don't trust nobody any more because the people at the school that she could go to talk to have let her down."
Holly's co-host Phillip Schofield, 58, who recently said he and his wife Steph are "picking their way through" after he came out as gay, explained that despite Laura's daughter blocking the bullies online, they "still manage to get to her".

The mum continued: "Yeah they set up groups and silly things like that with pictures of her."
Clearly shaken by Laura's story, Holly said: "It's just so awful, I'm so sorry you're going through this as a family, it's so cruel. It's so cruel."
Laura's mum continued: "She's just being punished more, because she's gone from a really loving, caring girl to like a demon because she's retaliating. She was suspended last week from school for a day. She missed out on her education."

Holly added: "Oh God, that's terrible," before asking expert Emma Kenny to chime in to offer her advice. Emma suggested Laura come off social media completely for a period and said the school should have helped more.
She ended her speech by explaining she might actually have a case to go to the police about as she said: "I think you have a legal case here. I really do. If she's got to the point where it's complete harassment, I would speak to your local police officers.
"I would express to them that you feel very afraid for her health."
