Justin Theroux Reports His Neighbor for Making Violent Threat Against Elderly Wife

The ‘Lady and the Tramp’ voice actor seeks civil or criminal punishment for his neighbor Norman Resnicow, who has been making threats of domestic abuse against his 71-year-old wife.

AceShowbizJustin Theroux has reported one of his neighbors for potential domestic abuse. The former Kevin Garvey depicter on HBO’s series “The Leftovers” alleges that his NYC neighbor Norman Resnicow has been making violent threats against his elderly wife.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the 48-year-old actor/screenwriter is seeking civil or criminal punishment for the said neighbor. He claims that Norman’s rage-filled outbursts have violated a restraining order put in place as part of their ongoing litigation.

Justin claims to have heard Norman threatening his 71-year-old wife multiple times since New York was put on a loose lockdown in March. He recalls two days after Governor Andrew Cuomo issued the stay-at-home order, Norman locked his wife out of their home because he was mad she wasn’t wearing a mask, and angrily yelled at her to leave.

Later that night, Norman was allegedly “erupting in rage” at his wife back at their home. He was heard calling her a “stupid woman” and “f**king moron.” The “Tropic Thunder” scribe called police because he feared for her safety and says that he has a record of both incidents.

Justin also called the cops when there was another incident on April 30, but he says that Norman pretended not to be home when the officers arrived.

Later on May 3, Justin heard a loud verbal attack by Norman on his wife, which he also recorded. In the audio, Norman was angry at his wife who wanted to go out and was heard telling her, “No you don’t, because I’ll break your teeth. No, you sit down in your f**king seat. Sit down in your f**king seat and watch the show.”

He accused his wife of “going out deaf” because she listens to podcasts, and angrily told her, “Sit down and shut up. You’re not going anywhere. You’re not going anywhere. You’re not-you’re gonna watch. Wanna get it? You want broken teeth? I’ll break your f**king teeth.”

Justin called 911 again and police arrived, but he does not know the outcome of the police’s visit.

The ex-husband of Jennifer Aniston goes on noting that other residents in the building have filed affidavits saying these incidents can be traumatic. Echoing his other neighbors, Justin says the outbursts caused him “anxiety that continues long after the incidents themselves have ended.”

Justin asserts that Norman is prohibited from harassing or intimidating potential witnesses, including his wife, in Justin’s ongoing case against him, which started in 2017 when Norman threatened to cut the actor’s water and electricity for making renovations to his Greenwich Village co-op. He’s asking the court to hold Norman in contempt and potentially impose a fine or imprisonment on him.
