Coronation Street star Kym Marsh took to social media yesterday to confirm some exciting news.
The 43-year-old actress and former pop star will now turn her hand to presentening and will host a new consumer affairs show with Matthew Allwright.
Kym told her Instagram and Twitter followers that she was “excited” to confirm the news.
The new BBC show Your Money and Your Life, which will debut on June 15, will air every weekday morning at 10am for three weeks.
The pair will speak to consumer experts throughout the show to offer advice on a range of subjects including holidays, health, work and home amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Alongside a photograph of herself, the TV star told her 412,000 followers: “Really Excited to confirm I’ll be joining @mattallwright to present a new consumer affairs show on BBC1.”

The TV star continued: “Coronavirus has turned the world upside down with everyone facing huge challenges in their daily lives.”
“We’ll be talking to some of the country’s leading consumer experts to get guidance and tips on everything including holidays, health, work and home,” she added.
Giving fans the details of the show, she signed off: “Airs daily at 10am for three weeks from 15th June.”
Instagram users, friends and family took to the comments section to congratulate the star and wish her luck.
It even sparked a mini Corrie reunion.
Former Coronation Street actor Charlie Condou, 47, who played Marcus Dent in the ITV show until 2014, replied to Kym’s post on Twitter: “Good work Kym.”
“Thanks darling,” she replied, before adding: “Gonna be in London for a few weeks whilst filming.
“Perhaps a socially distanced get together is in order?”
To which her ex co-star exclaimed: “YES!!!! I’d love that, it’s been bloody ages.”

Kym’s eldest daughter Emilie, 23, also appeared in the comments section of her Instagram post.
“Wooo yessss mumsy,”(sic) she said.
Another said: “Incredible news!!! You will be amazing.. can’t wait to see you in action,” while a third remarked: “Nice one Kym. You’ll smash it!”
Wishing her luck in her new venture, a fourth fan worte: “Best of luck with the new gig, but have to admit miss seeing you on Cory. BTW great head shot.”
The former soap star, who is also mum to David, 25, and Polly, nine, said farewell to Wetherfield in December.
