Blonde bombshell Megan Barton-Hanson has revealed that she slid into Maura Higgins’ DMs but the Irish beauty “aired” her.

Megan entered the Love Island villa in 2018, with Maura becoming a contestant on the hit ITV show a year later.

And now openly bisexual Megan has confessed that she slid into Maura’s DMs, calling her "stunning."

Speaking to Heat magazine, she said: “I think she's stunning, I think she's a powerful, strong woman.

“But I don't know if she's bi. But hopefully one day.”

Love Island 2018 winner Jack Fincham was also sat in on the interview, and said he’d “put in a good word” for Megan with Maura, before Wes Nelson's ex admitted to messaging the Irish beauty but got no response.

She laughingly revealed: “I slid in her DMs and got nothing.”

Jack responded: “Have you actually? What did you write?”

Megan told Jack she didn’t know, but she may have "sent an emoji". "[I was] just dipping the toe in. Got absolutely aired!”

This isn’t the first time that Megan’s made her feelings for Maura known, having admitted it in an interview with Tab last year.

When asked which Love Island woman she would choose to couple up with, she said: “Maura. I think we’re so similar in so many ways, like our views and stuff – but I don’t know if I could handle her, she’s very high maintenance, but I guess I am too!”

Megan has always spoken openly about her bisexuality, which she says she began to realise when she was about 20-years-old.

She told Mailonline: “I realised at college. I had a friend who I would spend all my time with. When she had a boyfriend I would get weirdly jealous. Then there was a couple who I started seeing when I was about 20.”

She said: “We had a 'joint thing' a few times, but I realised he was just 'there' and I was actually falling for her. They had an open relationship but I was starting to fall in love with her.”

Megan represented bi girls all over England when she took part in Celebs Go Dating in 2019 and dated TOWIE star Demi Sims.
