Ruth Langsford told fans that it was a “dream come true” to be featured as part of a question on ITV game show The Chase. The This Morning presenter took a screenshot of the episode and posted it online to mark the occasion.

The 61-year-old star spoke of her delight on Instagram when her name came up on the screen.

Diversity star Jordan Banjo was the celebrity contestant on the programme facing the Chaser.

“Omg… I was a question on @itvchase!”(sic) she wrote online, in view of her one million followers.

“Shame @jordbanjo got the answer wrong but still a dream come true!!” Ruth added.

The host Bradley Walsh asked the dancer and TV personality the question: “Which presenter’s first words to her future husband when she met him for the first time at Granada TV were ‘Hello, I’m your Mummy’?”

He was given the names Judy Finnigan, Tess Daly and Ruth as possible options for the answer.

Jordan opted for Ruth, saying that it was a “wlld guess”.

However the answer in fact was the former This Morning host Judy, who is married to Richard Madeley.

Replying to Ruth’s Instagram post, he wrote online: “Forgive me Ruth,” followed by a laughing emoji.

“Oh mate… you did so well!” the mum-of-one went on to add.

Jordan had been on the show with actress Su Pollard, presenter AJ Odudu and chat show host Jonathan Ross.
