Selena Gomez Looks Totally Different With A Brand-New Look
Selena Gomez has been a beauty and style icon ever since her breakout role as Alex Russo in Disney Channel’s beloved series “Wizards of Waverly Place” (via IMDb) catapulted her to stardom. From her Disney-darling days and early red carpet appearances with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber to her mega-glam magazine spreads and bold makeup looks, Gomez is no stranger to changing up her appearance.
And the actor-singer’s ever-evolving looks shouldn’t come as a surprise to her fans either. After all, the 28-year-old recently launched her own beauty line, Rare Beauty, in September of last year, and has been promoting the line on social media ever since. “I’ve been working since I was 7, so my relationship with makeup has constantly evolved,” the “Spring Breakers” actor told PopSugar ahead of Rare Beauty’s 2020 launch. “Through that, there have been moments where maybe I don’t feel my best. Maybe I’m self-critical, maybe I compare myself to other people. That’s the standard I wanted to break with this beauty line.”
Selena Gomez shared her latest new look on Rare Beauty's Instagram
“New look,” Selena Gomez captioned a mirror selfie in which she’s seen sporting light blond hair. “Need to pick new Rare Beauty lip and blush shades now [heart].” Selena’s sweet snap of her new ‘do garnered over 375,000 likes just hours after she posted it, and fans of the “Lose You To Love Me” singer couldn’t stop gushing about her new look.
“BLONDLENA IS BACK,” one Instagam fan wrote, referring to Gomez’s 2017 blond hair style, while another Instagram user commented, “I’m shaking now Selena is blonde,” adding a string of scream and heart eye emojis at the end.
Selena Gomez’s hair stylists of over a decade, Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, dished on all the details about the “Wolves” singer’s new hair color. “This blonde is unique to her as we had to make sure there was an equal balance of cool and warm for her skin tone,” they shared (via People). “It’s an edgier look and perfect for summer.”
