Sue Cleaver looks ‘20 years younger’ after weight loss transformation

Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver, 59, looked phenomenal as she proudly showed off her trim figure in a light pink Reiss suit on Instagram yesterday.

The star’s fans were quick to comment on her incredible weight loss transformation, with some even claiming she looks “younger than she did 20 years ago”.

The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star paired her stylish pink suit with a black top and some white trainers, while she wore her blonde tresses in a stylish pixie cut.

Sue, who has held the iconic role of Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap since 2000, was inundated with supportive messages from her 142,000 followers after sharing her latest snap.

Showing off her gorgeous new makeup look, which included a shiny lipstick and some subtle eyeliner, she posed with artist Bryony Blake.

“What a treat to have my make up done by the hugely talented @bryony_blake – thank you!!!” she wrote. (sic)

She also teased that the show she had been filming for was “to be confirmed” with a winking emoji.

Several of her fans took to the comments to marvel at the star’s impressive weight loss, as well as to compliment the star on her fabulous new look.

Emma wrote: “I’m currently watching you on episodes of Corrie from 20 years ago… You look younger now!”

While Brenda agreed: “You look like a new woman and 20 years younger fabulous xx.” (sic)

Back in March, Sue told Prima Magazine how, despite her dramatic weight loss, she has always tried to avoid diet culture.

“I lost some weight in the jungle,” she admitted at the time. “But I’m not obsessing over diets: life is hard enough!

“There’s always going to be outside pressure and unfair expectations placed on women, but I refuse to get pulled into it.

“That’s why I’ll never promote anything weight-related, and it’s why I’d always rather compliment somebody on their smile or their outfit, rather than their weight.

“Let’s just let women be women – we have enough difficulties and struggles as it is.”
