Curtis Davies, 38, wants another year on pitch as Derby mull contract extension despite star's blossoming media career | The Sun

CURTIS DAVIES wants to play on for one more year — despite turning 38 in March.

The Derby centre-half is still fit and hungry to play.

And despite a blossoming media career, he plans to stay on the pitch as long as possible.

County will decide whether to offer him a contract extension following the final game of the season against Sheffield Wednesday.

But Davies is willing to move to keep his boots on.

Nevertheless, the centre-back still wants to prepare himself for retirement.
