Gear Up For an Outdoor Excursion With Brand Dead's ROA Neal Collaboration
Brain Dead is certainly one of those streetwear brands that tends to go heavy on the collaborative initiatives, and after recently teaming Marvel’s Wolverine, the LA-headquartered brand has partnered with ROA to put its unique twist on the iconic Neal.
The Neal is one of the ROA’s staple hiking silhouettes, and Kyle Ng has reimagined it with soft, furry textures and branded embellishments of his own. The top layers of this low-slung offering are made of both calf leather and polyester, both materials of which contribute to its pony hair-like texture. These also possess a gray safari-esque print that runs from the toe boxes to the rear. The throat features a toggle lacing system, and comes whipped up with black backdrops and striking yellow lace loops. For branding, ROA“s signature logo is dropped off in white up by the toes, while Brain Dead‘s insignia is housed inside a gel green badge that is clipped to the suede heel overlays.
For its lower piece, a stealthy EVA midsole is mated with solid black rubber Vibram treading to bring together its full look.
