Inside Katie Price’s notorious ‘mucky mansion’ before designer home makeover

Katie Price showcased her Sussex home in her latest YouTube video, taking fans on a tour of the property and discussing her plans for renovation.

The model, 42, has decided to move back into the building, which had been nicknamed the "mucky mansion" as it fell into disrepair in recent years.

While the property is in need of some TLC, Katie and her boyfriend Carl Woods traipsed through the building, admitting it had great potential to become a beautiful home.

The walls of the property had been damaged by water and mould over the years, leaving staining on the white surfaces.

Katie told her 303,000 YouTube subscribers: "Today I've come into the house and I think it's such a waste."

Featuring a huge stretch of grass hemmed in by trees, the garden had been neglected and become overgrown.

One wall featured croc-skin wallpaper, and exposed dark wooden beams stretched all over the building.

Wandering around the house, Carl suggested they paint the entire property white to freshen the place up.

Carl suggested Katie would "probably feel a lot different" about the property if it had been repainted completely.

The former Love Island star recommended painting the wooden beams white and bringing some carpeting into each room.

Knocking the walls, he added: "The whole house is all solid brick no plaster."

Looking out the French windows in one of the upstairs rooms, the couple decided the garden would look better with a fountain feature and proper maintenance.

"I want all that redone," she said.

Later, Katie headed out to the garden and looked out to the place where her stables had been, dreaming up plans for the property.

Reaching out to her fans, she said: "I mean there might be builders or anything out there, have you got any ideas? Is there anyone out there who would want to do a room for me.

"Design a room, anyone. I would get anyone in who would want to design their room so the whole house is different because I can't get around it."

Having realised the potential in the building, Katie realised her new positive mindset had helped her to visualise what the house could become.

"The more I come in here I haven't moaned once and said ‘I f****** hate this house' yet," she admitted.

Since moving out of the mansion, Katie has been living in a rented property, though she has now decided to start the next chapter of her life with Carl and build a home together.

Determined to fully renovate the property, Katie has launched her own home makeover Instagram to update fans on the process.
