The look was accessorised with a signature matching hat and a dainty string of pearls with her Aquamarine Bar brooch.
The Queen wore the same outfit the month previous to open Parliament.
Prince George (July)
One of the cutest Royal fashion moments of the year has to be when Prince George appeared at the Euro 2020 football matches in the most adorable ensemble.
Not only did he match his dad in a navy suit and red and blue striped tie, but this was also a very symbolic moment for the Prince as is signified his next step in his royal life.
Whilst people wondered why he wasn't "allowed" to wear a football shirt like "normal" children, it as later revealed that the young prince actually chose to wear a suit to match his dad, Prince William.
Princess Beatrice (July)
Princesses Beatrice stunned during the Summer as she and husband Edoardo took a day trip to watch the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
The 33-year-old showed off her growing baby bump in a quintessential polka dot printed dress from Self Portrait.
Not only is it a traditional pattern to wear to the event, but we absolutely love the puff sleeves and gathered bodice, which allowed the Princess to still look as regal as always.
Lady Kitty Spencer (July)
Despite not being part of the immediate Royal Family and someone that we're used to seeing, we had to give a special mention to Princess Diana's niece Lady Kitty Spencer.
On her wedding day in July, the 30-year-old didn't just have one incredible wedding dress, she instead chose five — all of which were designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
In each of the outfits, she made sure to incorporate inspirations from Italy, England and her love for flowers.
Kate Middleton (September)
One of, if not the most iconic fashion moments from the year came when Kate left us speechless in a fully-embellished, gold cape gown by Jenny Packham.
The choice of outfit, worn to the premiere of the latest James Bond film, was very reminiscent of the one which Princess Diana wore to the 1985 premiere of View To Kill.
The 39-year-old made sure to stick to Royal protocols by having the neckline altered so that it wasn't as plunging as the original design.
Prince William (October)
Someone who is usually overshadowed by his wife when it comes to all things style is Prince William however, when he appeared on the red carpet for The Earthshot Prize awards ceremony, searches for velvet blazers soared by 203 per cent.
William previously wore the blazer for a charity gala in 2019 and may well have asked Kate for shopping advice, as the garment is from one of her go-to brands, Reiss.
Meghan Markle (November)
Our last spot has to go to Meghan Markle, for this absolutely beautiful Carolina Herrera ballgown.
The former actress donned the show-stopping number to the Salute to Freedom Gala in November.
Whilst still embodying a real life princess, she also made sure that the outfit was representative of her new life in Los Angeles with various rule-breaking details.
With the plunging neckline, daring thigh high split and thin straps, Meghan's look signified her cutting ties with the Royal Families traditions and expectations.
