Realistic sex robots are the new influencers taking Instagram by storm as owners bring them to life.

What started as a sex toy reviewer's joke has spiralled into a social media phenomenon for lovers of life-like silicone models.

A woman who underwent £60,000 of surgery in a quest to look like a blow-up sex doll inspired US-based 'T' to make an Instagram account for one of his dolls posing as a real woman.

Over the past six years T's creation, Celestina has racked up over 3,000 followers and even become a YouTuber with 1,000 subscribers.

The doll's Instagram bio says: "Celestina is a model, news correspondent for TFM News, an avid cosplay enthusiast, and an advocate for sex dolls and robots, and those that love them."

Celestina is now one of countless sex doll Instagram accounts but among an increasing few with massive followings, ManyofMany reports.

Another popular doll is Alita whose 914 posts are more hilarious accounts of a hard-working woman than they are sexual.

Snaps of Alita range from her completing various DIY tasks such as light fitting and plumbing to sitting down for a meal and playing video games.

The red-haired doll boasts almost 2,000 fans on Instagram where last week a photo of her was captioned celebrating her locks.

By comparison, sex doll influencer Tasha shares far more racy content with lingerie snaps leaving men hot under the collar in the comments section.

Remarkably there is even an online Playboy-style magazine called Coverdoll dedicated to producing content on the sex devices.
