Strictly Come Dancing fans are eyeing up Tyler West as he attempted to curry favour with head judge Shirley Ballas.

As he was introduced as the latest celebrity to join the famous BBC dancing show, partnered with Dianne Buswell, Tess Daly said she was informed he was "particularly fond of" one judge.

Tess asked Tyler if there was anything he would like to say to their head judge as he gave Shirley a cheeky smile and quipped: "You alright Shirl? You alright?"

Shirley immediately blushed and couldn't hold herself back from laughing with an almighty grin as she gazed at him while he told her that he is "in awe".

Tyler added: "Honestly, I'm in awe. I have so much respect, for all of you! And, you look amazing as well."

Tess called out his tricks though, chirping: "Aww you see, he knows how to curry favour doesn't he? Very early on. Buttering you up Shirl!"

And it looks like Tess wasn't the only one to think so.

One user wrote on Twitter: "Tyler knows how to get his 10s early, make Shirley blush! That's his 10s banked for the whole season."

Another wrote: "So Tyler is flirting his way to his first ten from Shirley."

A third added: "Tyler getting in with Shirley early on, which is smart. And he gets Diane! Hopefully he's a ringer for her."

A fourth chirped: "Tyler getting ahead with Shirley… she's probably got her 10 paddle ready."

Tyler is one of the many celebrities joining the line-up this year.

He's been in the industry for some years as a TV presenter, radio host and DJ after launching his entertainment career on CBBC presenting on MOTD KickAbout and Blue Peter.

Ahead of his stint on the show, Tyler said: "I am SO gassed to be joining the Strictly family! As I started writing this I already got cramp. It’s going to be one crazy incredible journey which will no doubt be SO far outside my comfort zone.

"It’s a show that means so much to me and my family and I can’t wait to seriously shake a leg on that shiny dance floor… with a side of sequins."
