Does Yasmeen plead guilty or not guilty over Geoff attack?

Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) endured horrific abuse at the hands of Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew), and when she finally fought back, she ended up getting arrested.

In shocking scenes, Yasmeen – cornered, berated and threatened by her cruel, knife-wielding husband – finally snapped and hit him over the head with a wine bottle before stabbing him with the broken end.

Much to the disappointment of many fans, Geoff did not die after this attack and now Yasmeen is facing criminal charges.

On top of that, she’s still scared of making Geoff angry, and has talked about pleading guilty to the charges. Will she go through with it?

Does Yasmeen plead guilty?

Even though Yasmeen has previously said she intended to plead guilty, she will eventually stand up for herself and plead not guilty.

In what’s sure to be a stirring moment, Yasmeen will enter this not guilty plea dispite the fact that she’s said how scared she is of incurring Geoff’s anger.

Indeed, the foul Geoff will be furious and will be scared that his hold over Yasmeen is starting to weaken.

He’ll appeal to Tim that they need to put up a united front, but Sally won’t be convinced about Geoff’s side of the story.

In coming scenes, not only will Sally tell Tim that she wants Geoff out of the house, but Eileen will begin to plant doubts in his mind about his father.

With Geoff’s mask starting to slip, it’s hopefully only a matter of time before everyone else on the cobbles knows him for what he is…
