Drag Race All Stars season six is about to launch on its new home, Paramount Plus. The spin-off to RuPaul’s Drag Race sees previous queens take to the stage one more time in a bid to be crowned the best. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what time the new series will arrive on Paramount Plus and Netflix.
What time is All Stars 6 out?
In August 2020 VH1 renewed the competition series for a sixth season and the lineup has been announced.
In February 2021 it was revealed the show would move to Paramount+ for fans watching in the US.
Season six is due to arrive on June 24, 2021, and a total of 13 contestants will take part for the crown.
For fans in the UK, they will also be able to watch the new episodes via Netflix on the same date, June 24.
This means they will not have to avoid spoilers, which is a first for the fan-favourite drag series.
Netflix UK said on Twitter: “We’re finally able to confirm that not only will RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 6 be coming to Netflix UK weekly.
“But new episodes will be available on Thursday afternoons. Exact timings TBC, but we’ll yell as soon as episodes one and two are available on Thursday.”
Streaming services have a tendency to release new content at midnight, so the new season could be available first thing on Thursday.
Paramount+ has not given an official release time. They only said on Twitter: “Get ready to stream @rupaulsdragrace #AllStars6 THIS Thursday, June 24th!”
Plenty of fans took to the comments to ask what exact time the new episodes would drop, but they received no response.
A trailer for the new season has been released and RuPaul is heard saying: “Second chances are paramount.
“So rise my queens, rise.” The 13 contestants are then seen strutting down the catwalk, excited for the competition ahead.
This year’s contestants are A’keria Chanel Davenport, Eureka O’Hara, Ginger Minj, Jan, Jiggly Caliente and Pandora Boxx.
Also taking to the main stage are Ra’Jah O’Hara, Scarlet Envy, Serena ChaCha, Silky Ganache, Sonique, Trinity K Bonet and Yara Sofia.
Fans of the series have been treated to plenty of content this year, from Drag Race Canada to Drag Race Down Under and the popular UK version.
They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, with one saying: “SO buzzing for All Stars 6 to kick off on Thursday because the Talent/Variety Show is one of my faves on Drag Race.”
Another said: “Facing the harsh and inevitable reality that I will eventually have to pay for Paramount+ so that me and @clancypantzzz can watch season 6 of Drag Race All-Stars.”
The queens spoke to ET Online to tease the latest season and they warned the world was not ready for what they were about to see.
When asked to describe their season, Silky Nutmeg Ganache said: “Impactful, because I went in and I didn’t hold anything back.
“Why should I? A million girls – literally, because there’s a million girls in the franchise – could have got an opportunity to come back, but they called me. And so I have to come back and do my thing.”
Jan, who was on season 12 of Drag Race, added: “You’re not guaranteed to get this call. That’s a misconception that a lot of people might think.
“If they’re calling you, they’re interested, and you might not get that opportunity again in the future.”
The star was worried she would receive criticism for heading back to the franchise so soon, but she added: “I believe in myself. I believe that I can do this too. So, let’s get back into the race.”
“I don’t feel like I have to prove anything to the judges or to the world.”
The queens are not letting this second chance go to waste, so there is plenty of drama to come.
Drag Race All Stars 6 airs on Paramount Plus on June 24.
