Inside Max Parker's love-life with on-screen brother Kris Mochrie as he quits Emmerdale after two years

MAX Parker has shocked Emmerdale fans by quitting the soap after just two years.

The actor has played Luke Posner in the ITV soap since August 2019 when he arrived as Victoria Sugden's new love interest.

However in the months that followed he was discovered to be the brother of her rapist Lee Posner and uncle to her son.

Despite this they got through it and got together – living mostly happily through lockdown.

However this month it was revealed Luke is secretly gay and has been hiding the secret from Victoria ever since they met – and more than that he could also have been responsible for his brother's death – and not her brother Robert who is in prison for it.

Fortunately the drama is contained on-screen and off-screen Max's personal life has gone from strength to strength since joining the soap.

In a quirky twist of fate he found love on the set of the show – with his on-screen brother, actor Kris Mochrie.

The Sun exclusively revealed how the pair fell for each other after meeting backstage in 2019.

A source told us at the time: "They met on Kris' last day filming and just hit it off.

"They were cast as brothers and are really alike and have been joking that casting did a great job.

"The boys kept in touch after Kris finished on the show but they've spent a lot of time together over summer.

"It's early days but they're really enjoying themselves and who knows what the future holds."

Last year The Sun also revealed how the couple had moved into a luxury penthouse apartment in one of Manchester's upmarket developments.

Since then the couple have showed off their incredible apartment on social media, making fans uber jealous.

And they recently went on a luxury holiday to Portugal with friends.

However now Max has quit Emmerdale and left the show, his career will no doubt go from strength to strength.

A source said: “Max was never going to stay on the soap for years.

“He’s ambitious and a talented guy – he’s already auditioning for new roles and excited for the future.

“But never say never – there’s always a chance he could return one day.”
