Janet, 73, made her return to the Celebrity MasterChef kitchen during Monday’s episode of the BBC cooking show, seven years since she first appeared as a contestant. The Loose Women panellist wasn’t alone as she was also joined by Christopher, 72, Dev Griffin, 35, and Vicky Pattison, 33, to cook for judges John Torode, 55, and Gregg Wallace, 56. Teamed with the Christmas pantomime star, the journalist lost her cool as they struggled to communicate during the pair’s challenge.
The broadcaster and her co-star were separated by a wall and had to try and make two pork wellingtons which looked identical in every way.
As longtime viewers of the show know, this is a very difficult task even for the most advanced of culinary experts.
However, as the clock began to count down, the pressure got to Janet as she got increasingly frustrated with the pantomime actor.
Focussing on creating the herb and mushroom stuffing, the journalist asked her co-star which herbs he was going to use.
Christopher explained he didn’t have any to hand and prompted panic from the chat show presenter, only to discover they were situated in a glass in front of him.

After the pair realised where the herbs were, the next question was how much they were going to use, with Christopher telling his partner to put “the lot” in.
“No, it’s not that simple,” she declared, before explaining to the camera why she was struggling with the challenge.
“The trouble is, I’ve always been a boss. I don’t really take well to being told what to do,” the journalist remarked.
Once they had stuffed their pork, the pair then had to wrap it in a layer of ham before enclosing the whole thing in pastry.

Trying to achieve identical creations, the pantomime actor asked his co-star: “Are you getting the ham around?”
Losing her cool, Janet exploded as she replied: “Don’t nag. It’s like b****y brain surgery,” and from the sidelines, John could see they were struggling.
“Right now, we have the thickest puff pastry I have ever seen in my life wrapped around a piece of pork,” he said.
“The thing is with a thick piece of pastry is it won’t cook and we’ll get a piece of pork that is really stodgy.”

Unfortunately, the contestants did not replicate the same dish and it was clear to the judges communication had broken down.
Following this challenge, the foursome were then asked to cook the critics a dish which reminded them of Christmas’ long gone.
After a nail-biting round, it was journalist Janet who won the first festive episode with her seasonal pie offering and jam and damson dessert.
Speaking of her win, the broadcaster said: “No, I don’t believe it, I can’t believe it. I am really, really thrilled.”
“I did a lot of moaning but I loved the cooking part. This is one for the pensioners!” she added, with the judges commending her efforts.
Gregg said: “This has been brilliant fun. I think Janet’s pie was really clever and I loved the damson jam and venison inside.
“It was absolutely stunning, brilliantly clever and showed the touch of a really, really good cook,” he continued.
John commented: “This has been a fantastic celebration, we wanted a festive feast and that’s what all of the celebrities delivered.
“Janet’s food didn’t just taste great but it looked great; it was care, it was attention, it was detailed, it was delicious!”
