Lucinda Strafford and Aaron Francis were dumped on Sunday's Love Island ahead of Casa Amor after they received the lowest votes from the public along with Teddy Soares and Faye Winter.
It was revealed at the end of Friday's show by voiceover host Iain Stirling that there would be a vote with fans asked to pick their favourite couple.
However, due to Abigail Rawlings and Tyler Cruickshank being new arrivals, they, along with their partners Toby Aromolaran and Kaz Kamwi were excluded from the voting.
During the dramatic episode, Liberty Poole received a text which read: "Islanders, please can you gather round the fire pit immediately."

While Faye Winter then received another message that informed the Islanders that the public had been voting for their favourite couple and the duo with the fewest votes will be dumped. The text confirmed that both Abigail and Tyler, as well as their partners Toby and Kaz, would be safe.
The dumping comes after Love Island confirmed the return of Casa Amor in a teaser at the end of Friday's episode
As the episode came to an end, voiceover host Iain, 33, told fans to "get ready" as it showed a glimpse of the second villa where the Islanders' relationships will be tested with new bombshells.
Viewers were left in sheer excitement over the announcement as they rushed to Twitter to share their thoughts over the return of Casa Amor after it was announced that the Love Island final will take place on Monday 23 August.
One person said: "I gasped so loudly when I heard him say casa amor #LoveIsland."
A different fan put: "*Casa Amor is finally back and there's a public vote* The UK finally getting the drama they wanted #LoveIsland."
Another follower commented: "I am BUZZING for casa amor #LoveIsland."
While a different account added: "Incoming. Casa Amor. Yes. #LoveIsland."
