Jamie (played by Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) went through a lot of trauma in season one of Outlander as both were raped. Fans of the Starz series will remember Jamie was left traumatised after he was sexually assaulted by Captain Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) and struggled to move on. Claire played a large part in his recovery and one scene which was cut from the second series shows Jamie trying to remember their love in a dream sequence.

The deleted scene begins with Claire pouring water into a bowl and asking Jamie to giver her his hand to soak.

Following her instructions, he allows her to take his hand out of it’s leather cast and fans can see the scars and broke bones from his abuse by Captain Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) at the end of season one.

Claire thrusts his hand into the water and Jamie winces in pain but she ignores his reaction.

Washing his hand in the water, she asks: “That’s nice, isn’t it?” and he can only moan in reply.
