FANS were eagerly waiting for the return of Yellowstone on Paramount.

After the show's official Twitter account announced the season 5 release date in May 2022, there seems to have been a change of plans for the entire show in May 2023.

Will there be a Yellowstone season 5?

After the debut of its season five episodes in November 2022, Yellowstone is officially ending in 2023.

However, there are rumors of a possible spin-off.

Even though the casting for the rumored spin-off has not been announced, it has been reported that Matthew McConaughey will likely star.

Previously, Paramount Network officially announced that season five of Yellowstone is confirmed.

Season 5 of Yellowstone hit the Paramount network on November 13, 2022.

At the time, the show tweeted: "It’s happening! #YellowstoneTV season 5 premieres Nov. 13, only on @ParamountNet."

Cole Hauser, who plays Rip on the show, dished to Esquire minimal details regarding season five, saying: “Season five is going to be wonderful.

“The way we ended season four—I can't give too much away, but the way season four ends, I think the audience… will be happily surprised.

Season 5 of the western drama began filming in May 2022, according to Taylor Sheridan, who co-created the show, per Deadline.

The executive producer of Yellowstone David C. Glasser said: “We are honored to be able to bring audiences another season of Yellowstone.

"The continued growth in viewership and the recent recognition from the guilds bolsters our commitment to continue to bring groundbreaking entertainment to audiences."

What is Yellowstone about?

Yellowstone is an American drama television series that aired on the Paramount Network on June 20, 2018, and was developed by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson.

Kevin Costner, Wes Bentley, Kelly Reilly, Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Gil Birmingham feature in the series.

The battle between a major cattle ranch, an Indian reserve, and property developers is chronicled in Yellowstone.

The series follows the Dutton family, who operate the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, often known as The Yellowstone, which is Montana's largest ranch.

The story concentrates on the family conflict on the ranch as well as the Broken Rock Indian Reservation, national park, and developers on the outside.
