Two teenagers arrested after NHS worker, 24, was stabbed to death in ‘ferocious’ attack – The Sun
TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a young NHS worker was stabbed to death.
David Gomah, 24, was on the phone to a friend when he was stabbed multiple times in a “ferocious” attack.
Police believe last Sunday’s attack near David’s home in Stratford, East London, was unprovoked.
David, who “worked hard for the community in the NHS”, had just lost his father to coronavirus.
Police confirmed yesterday that a 19-year-old man had been arrested in Stratford and a 17-year-old boy was arrested in Telford, Shropshire.
Detective Inspector Tony Kirk of the Mets Specialist Crime Command said: “I urge anyone who might have valuable information about what happened to contact us immediately.
“David’s family are going through unimaginable torment.
"Within days his mother has seen the death of her husband and son; his sister has lost her father and brother. Both are now heartbroken.
“David was a young man who had worked hard to put himself through university and, like his mother, worked hard for the community in the NHS.
"They now need the public to come forward and tell us what they know.
“If you have any information, please think of this young man and the suffering of his family and call us.
"David’s family deserves both answers and justice.”
